Sarfaraz Ahmed with his wife and son on Good Morning Pakistan, Shan-e-suhoor
Sarfaraz Ahmed is a professional Pakistani Cricket player. He is a wicket-keeper—batsman and plays for Pakistan National Cricket Team. He was the former captain of Pakistan in all formats. He married Syeda Khusbakht in the year 2015 and the couple has two children: a son and a daughter.
Sarfaraz made his ODI debut on 18th November 2007. He made his Test match debut on 14 January 2010, in Hobart, in the third Test match against Australia. He replaced Kamran Akmal in that match who suffered from an error-ridden performance. Sarfaraz plays for the team Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League.
Sarfaraz was awarded with Sitara-e-Imtiaz in March 2018 and became the youngest cricketer to be awarded. After the retirement of Misbah-ul-Haq, Sarfaraz became the 32nd Test captain of the Pakistan Cricket Team. His notable achievement was winning the ICC U-19 World Cup in 2006 for Pakistani team and defeated India.
