PCB Chief Lauds Pakistan Wheelchair Cricket Team, Awarded Cheque of Rs. 1.5 Million

 

 

 

 

 

Members of the Pakistan Wheelchair Cricket Team recently gathered at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore for a special meeting with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi. This meeting was arranged following an invitation extended by Naqvi to celebrate the team’s remarkable achievements.

Earlier this year, the Pakistan Wheelchair Cricket Team clinched the Asian Wheelchair Championship title in Nepal, defeating Sri Lanka in an impressive final match. Their success was further highlighted by their victory in the T20 Wheelchair Cricket Asia Cup 2023.

During the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi congratulated the team on their accomplishments and presented them with a cheque of PKR 1.5 million as a token of appreciation. He commended their dedication and hard work, expressing his optimism for their future successes. Naqvi assured the team of the PCB’s unwavering support in their endeavors moving forward.

 

 

 

In response, members of the Wheelchair Cricket Team expressed their gratitude to the PCB for the recognition and encouragement received. They acknowledged the significance of this support in furthering their passion for cricket and representing Pakistan on international platforms.

Among those present at the meeting were Pakistan Wheelchair Cricket Council Chairperson Rukhsana Rajput, team captain Mohammad Zeeshan, vice-captain Imran Arain, batter Syed Arsalan Ahmed, wicketkeeper-batter Muazzam Nawaz, and bowler Mohammad Fayyaz. Their presence underscored the unity and camaraderie within the team, reflecting their collective dedication to the sport and their country.
