Cristiano Ronaldo has broken the record for the most goals scored in a single Saudi Pro League season. He achieved this by scoring his 34th and 35th goals during Al Nassr’s final game of the season.

After the game, the 39-year-old Portuguese forward tweeted, “I don’t follow the records, the records follow me.” This highlights his confidence and continuous success in setting new milestones.

Ronaldo, who previously played for Real Madrid and Manchester United, scored his first goal in the game during stoppage time in the first half. He scored his second goal with a header in the 69th minute. His performance helped Al Nassr secure a 4-2 win over Al Ittihad in their home stadium on Monday.

Before Ronaldo, the record for the most goals in a single season was held by Moroccan player Abderrazak Hamdallah, who scored 34 goals in the 2018-19 season. Ronaldo’s achievement surpasses this previous record, showcasing his remarkable talent and consistency.

Despite this impressive win, Al Nassr had already secured second place in the league standings. They finished the season 14 points behind the champions, Al Hilal.

Ronaldo’s record-breaking season has been a significant highlight, drawing attention to his enduring skill and determination on the field. His accomplishments continue to inspire fans and players around the world.
